It's in the bag

Ready for a stitch here and a stitch there
The bag is always near by to be picked up and taken with me in the car or to any room in the house.
I keep a small piece of embroidery to work on in this pretty pink bag
Whenever I have time I sew a few stitches

It makes it much easier to do something creative when you can just bundle it up into the bag when someone calls in or you have a chore to do

Love the white embroidery on this piece of linen

Just place a hoop around the linen and it is playtime - anywhere, anytime
Just put it back into the bag when playtime is over

So sweet, Alison, & good for your soul. A freehand design, yes? Wish I wasn't all thumbs with a needle... alas, I'm a doodler instead.

Hi Alison
Well I'm the same as Julia.. rarely pick up a needle but constantly doodling...

Love this little character... must be quite hypnotic to sit and stitch.. and of course the beautiful results...

Have a great week xxx Julie

Love that idea... I too have bags with embroidery or small sewing projects... I also put a book and a few other things just in case... it really is easier to grab and go so to speak...

I love the white on white... cant wait to see the finished product..

I love the idea of being able to carry my hobby around with me. Maybe I should have taken up embroidery rather than upholstery lol.

Sweet bag to be toting our handiwork, great idea to have someplace to tuck your works in progress someplace safe.

Thanks for the comments about the photo, spent last week in Port Douglas and thinking, that one might just become my new screen saver.

Alison your post has just given me a BIG GRIN....I think it's so sweet that you are able to do this....Unfortunately for me, my little tote is actually a red tool box & my projects don't generally fit inside it....hahahahaha....I'm going to have to develope some NEW vintage projects sans red tool box I think....!!

I hope you're having a GREAT week...!!

Cheers,
Tamarah :o)

I love this idea, Alison. It is wonderful to have something to do in those down times. The word I was thinking when I was reading this was comforting. I love the white against the muslin!

I love your tote and your gorgeous embroidery Alison. I have a little basket that I keep mine in, right next to the sofa. It is not quite as pretty or as transportable as your gorgeous bag! Happy sewing ~ Tina xx

Great Idea Alison
Could we be so hopeful to think you may be able to take it down to the beach and sit in the sun creating in a few weeks time...sounds blissful to me!

Hi Alison! I believe you like to stitch as much as I do. If I'm sitting, I'm stitching! :0)

Do you make up your own designs? I love the white on the taupe!!

Love this white stitching on the natural linen! You have reminded me of a longstitch waiting in a crocheted bag for the finishing touches... it was set aside many years ago... I think this year of enforced rest has been wonderful for some of my UFOs.
