WATERSIDE WEDNESDAY

Barbara Jacksier is holding
I was looking for some beach theme
goodies to have at home and
decided to make my own.
Well really Max and I made it.
A cute yacht

It looks great on this table
I have decided to make a few
to sell on my website.
So come back tomorrow and I should have some listed
WINTER AT MOUNT MARTHA BEACH
Being the end of Winter we have had
some rough weather and the
poor beach is suffering for it.
Look at these poor star fish that were
washed up and on our beach on Monday

So much of our sand has been washed away as well
Looks a bit difficult to get into these beach huts now.
Not sure what will be done to fix it all up.

Oh I am so glad I joined in for Waterside Wednesdays and found your blog. I live in Florida in the United States and have posted about beach huts. We don't have them here and I just think they are lovely. Hopefully there will be no further erosion on your beaches and all those poor starfish, oh dear, how sad.

Lovely blog, I also read your posting on one of my favorite things — sea glass. We always called them mermaid tears as I was growing up.

Love the simplicity of your little yacht. Have you named her? The little stars, how sad. Can the little huts be moved? I hate to think such darling little structures are doomed.

Pleasant day!

The yacht is really cute! But those poor star fish....:-( I went to the beach over here last Sunday and my husband and I were talking that we never see starfish anymore over here. I think since the late 60-ties.
We have beach huts over here too, but they are always removed for winter and then put back again in Spring. We have large beaches with dunes behind them, the dunes protecting the shore. Every year a lot of sand is taken away by the sea, but workers just blow (like firemen) sand on the beach again, that way you can still reach your hut. Have a nice day!

Love the boat, it's really neat. The starfish, wow, never seen anything like that. It is sad, I agree. Forces of nature..., what can we do, right.

Your little boat is very cute. Beaches are a lot like life aren't they? I had a little collection of starfish that I picked up, already dead of course, on California beaches long before we moved out here. The final irony is that I had them stored in a barn that burned in a big old California fire. Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I'm always happy to see a note from you.

Hi Alison

I missed joining in on Waterside Wednesday this week - maybe next week
I love the Yacht - the simplicity...or something...not sure why I love it so much, you and Max should do well with that range. Careful you might end up like Tony and I...?

Are those funny coloured starfish washed up on our beach the pesty ones? We saw hundreds of dead ones the other day at Shire Hall Beach.

Have a good weekend
xo

Allison your little yacht is wonderful!
Simple and sweet!
I would like one with cherries on it! :-)

Did you rescue those star fish and give them a new life?

Nice visiting with you again!

Blessings,
Dolly

Hi Alison,
This Waterside photo shoot looks beautiful, even more so because it is so hot here. Love the row of little houses at the beach. I would like one of them... reminds me of a favorite movie - The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. I'm hoping you've seen it so you understand what I mean! Happy weekend.

Hi Alison, those beach huts don't look too safe do they? I love you boat too - very cool! I have just drafted up a post on "where I live" and just looked below and saw that you did the same! Great minds think alike. Hope you having a good weekend.

Wow the yacht is fabulous, great teamwork Max and Alison!
What a shame about the starfish - are they the good kind? They look kinda vicious, lol, like the predator ones that multiply like there's no tomorrow!

Wow, there has been some rough weather around the bathing boxes and there's more on the way over the next few days. I regularly walk along the beach at Parkdale in my lunch break and there have been lots of blue jelly fish washed up on the beach.
I love your boat, maybe you could make some miniature bathing boxes too.

Alison, your little yacht is dreamy.

I live in a land locked state. The trade off is that we have everything from gently rolling hills to beautiful majestic mountains...where we love to hike.

I hope you're able to restore your beaches. The starfish photo is both beautiful, and poignant.

Best Wishes,
Kay
