CHRISTMAS, MARSHMALLOWS & DAD

A VINTAGE CHRISTMAS STOCKING SWAP

Maryanne from Follow Your Bliss is hosting A Vintage Christmas Stocking Swap and my partner is M
andy of Pearl Maple. With things being so crazy around here with Dad being so ill and the long drive to and from the hospital nearly every day I have not had time to start creating so I better get moving on it this week as mail out is 22nd November.

YUMMY MARSHMALLOWS

How lucky was I to win Shannon’s – Paint Mine Pink -guessing competition and win some yummy marshmallows. Shannon also sent a sweet ‘Breast Cancer Support’ little Angel. As my mother in law is a breast cancer survivor the little angel will always have a special place in my home. Shannon also put in some cute little decorations.
Thanks Shannon.

UPDATE ON DAD

4 weeks later and he should be on his way to rehab on Wednesday.
Apparently there is no cancer in the two tumors taken from Dad’s brain. There is still the issue of fluid around his heart and lungs – they just don’t seem to be able to work out what is causing it. The clots in his lung should clear up before he goes to rehab as he is being put onto a blood thinning drug today.Thank you so much for everyone’s kind thoughts and prayers

Oh Alison, I am so happy that your dad is well enough to be moved to rehab. I'll keep covering him in prayer. I'm glad that you are creating in the middle of everything. It does a mind good to lose itself in working with your hands. Congratulations on your win. I love Mary Ann's swaps, and challenges. Alison, when things are better and your dad is on his way to better health, I have an invitation for you. I am hosting a Christmas Fair on my blog on November 21s. You just write a post and add your name to Mr. Linky that day. Stop by whenever and read about it, the badge is one the sidebar whenever you are ready.

Blessings, Karen

Sounds like things are slowly improving for your dad Alison. You must be exhausted with all the traveling and worry. I hope your creative spurt this week will help relieve some of the tension.
Keeping you in my thoughts,
Kerryanne

Good on you winning the giveaway Alison.
Sounds like you need a little bit of a pep up.

I'm so glad your Dad's tumours were Cancer free. I bet you are absolutely exhausted driving up to see him everyday, I know that feeling only too well, let's hope the Rehab is a little closer to home?
Main thing is he's OK, fingers crossed they can find out the cause of the swelling
Lots of prayers coming from over here still

I'm glad to hear your dad will be going to rehab. I'll keep saying my prayers. Anytime someone operates on a brain, it just scares me. Congrats on winning the marshmallows, they look yummy. Do work on the stocking it will be a good distraction and I'm sure it will be beautiful.
