AUTUMN

1st Day of Autumn.
As with lots of Autumn days it started cool and cloudy and by afternoon there were clear blue skies and a little sunshine

Today I picked some roses - Iceberg and Pierre De Ronsard.
Loved putting them together with some Autumn leaves from my Japanese Maple.

And it really is the first day of Spring here! The sun is shining, there are buds everywhere! We had such a long winter. I don't know if it really gets winter up in your neck of the woods.
What I think is strange that you Easter a celebration of spring is in autumn with you, the same with Christmas a celebration of light in darkness. Ah but you must be used to that. Enjoy a hopefully beautiful autumn day!

Hi Alison, your roses are so pretty together with the leaves. It feels like Spring here in CA, but most people are covered in snow in the US. Take care, Martha

Autumn, one of my favorite times of the year. It's funny ...we are entering our Spring! I'm so ready for green grass and gorgeous flowers.

Thank you for leaving such kind words on regarding my grandchildren. Yes, you are truly lucky to have yours so close. I already miss my two little ones so much!

Just a gorgeous array of garden flowers Alison. Our Japanese Maple by the front gate is doing the same as yours, the colours are breathtaking, but a wistful reminder that sadly, Summer is over.

Fall is my favorite time of year. I am in love with all of the Spring happening here, but I do so love Fall. The Roses are nearly as beautiful as those darling children in the previous post.
