THE END OF RED!!!!!!

THE LAST RED

Well I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel or should that be salad bowl to find my last RED for Sara from Sadie Olive Le Journal’s ‘I Saw Red’ event

The salad servers belonged to my Grandmother so they are probably about 60 years old – maybe more.
Every time I use them it brings back memories of my childhood and the lovely times I spent with my Gran.
I love that you use them like a pair of scissors.

Thanks Sara for “I Saw Red’ – it has been fun searching for ‘red’

I love how even though they are old, they have such a fun modern sensibility in the design. How wonderful to have such a treasured item that brings back such wonderful memories!

Have loved seeing all your "red" this week!

Amazing salad servers Alison. Riley is such a snuggly looking wee boy, glad he is feeling better. Are you going to do 'green'? Rachael

These are great. I do believe I have seen some of those in the past, but I don't recall where.

I have a few kitchen utensils that belonged to my grandmother, and I love using them.

Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Alison,

How wonderful to have wooden floorboards in your lounge room, we often say if we have another chance to build again, we wouldn't put carpet down anywhere, even in the bedrooms. It was a mistake of ours to think that carpet would be better. I've enjoyed your seeing red everywhere posts. Red is everywhere when you start to look. Love your creative way of showing them. Wow! The salad servers don't look that old at all, must've been well kept.

I cherish the things I have that belonged to my grandparents. My dad tossed a bunch of their stuff when they died. Unfortunately, I wasn't around to hoard stuff. You had wonderful red things!!

These are so cool. Oh, Grandmother memories are the best. You know when my grandmother passed away I got her pot roast pot because I was convinced that I could make pot roast like hers if I had her pot. Well, it didn't work, but I always think of her when I use her pot. Karen
