Fabulous Autumn/Fall weather and a picnic lunch on Sunday.
Sometimes you just have to get out of the house. For me that was Sunday.

Max and I went for a drive over the other side of the Mornington Peninsula to Westernport Bay.
We stopped off at Hastings and watched
We stopped off at Hastings and watched
‘the world’ go by.
Lots of families walking down the pier and also feeding the pelicans.
Next we went to Flinders and just sat in the sun and relaxed.

I love the length of this pier.
From on top we could look down and see this.
See my shadow taking this photo,
Watched the fishermen coming in and then putting their boats onto their trailers.
Love this one using his red tractor.
I zoomed in with my little camera and saw some resourceful fishermen using an old ironing board that they topped with timber to clean up their fish.
From the photo above you can see one of them
carrying 2 white
buckets and heading to where they put the board.
Great way to use an old ironing board
I did zoom in a lot with this so it's not very clear.
There is really so much to see and do on the Mornington Peninsula

Love the tractor shot!
Wow, Can't beat a Gorgeous Day like that! What a Wonderful way to spend your Day.
Thankyou Alison for the marvellous pictures. I especially love the one with the close-up of the boats. There's something about boats that I really like. Their form and colour I think. I have a couple of charm-sized watercolours of boats that I did awhile ago and I thought that if you like boats too that I could send you a charm containing one.Let me know?
Glad to be part of the gorgeous day you had, Angela.
mmm that looks like one peaceful ocean :-)
Your photos are gorgeous.
Hi Alison,
What a peaceful and serene day you and Max must have had over at Flinders. Reminds me that I must get back down ther for a visit someday soon.
Hugs,
Kerryanne
What a lovely day!!! I love the red tractor photo. I can see our river from my front garden but I would love to look out at Lake Michigan. That is what your photos remind me of. Just lovely.
Looks lovely!! Better than the cold, wind and rain we're having in the UK!

An ironing board? Oh, so clever. I'll share that with my husband. Great photos. The bay looks like a great place to watch the world go by.
What beautiful pictures~ It is great to have days like that~
Bristol
I could have sat there all day. Just BEAUTIFUL!! It's a good thing I don't live close to an ocean, as I believe I would spend most of my days there and I wouldn't get anything accomplished.
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs!
Michelle
What a beautiful day it looks like Alison. I just love to spend a day at the seashore. How resourceful those men are, eh?
Hi Alison.
Looks like a fun daytrip! You are so lucky to be surrounded by all that beauty.
Do you suppose that the fishermans wife is looking for her old ironing board??? LOLOL

Now that looks like the perfect way to spend a day! Great pictures of all the fishermen - what fun to watch all the beach traffic come and go!
Oh I love your photos!! I can't wait until the weather is nice enough here so we can get closer to the Coast!
Hugs,
Robin
Hi Allison, I never saw anyone use a tractor to pull their boat in before. LOL I used to love to fish with my father at the beach. We would sit for hours in beach chairs casting into the surf. And I was the one that ran around trying to find some kind of board that had washed up on shore for cleaning our caught fish on. Fabulous memories. :)
Oh how beautiful! Thanks for the great pictures! Happy Monday!
What a beautiful place. The water looks so inviting.
xx Nancy
oooh so pretty. What a lovely day.

Just lovely Allison !! i can smell the salty air from here. Glad you had such a nice day. Yes, cleaning fish on the ironing board would be so much better than ironing !! lol

ooooh man!! Look at your sunshine!! Laurie
Some fabulous pictures just showing the innovative ays people go about their daily lives.
Love the mother's day book too.
Hi Alison! What a beautiful Fall day. The calm water is so peaceful. That ironing board is actually really smart - keeps their backs from getting sore from bending over to clean all the fish. The water looks so crystal clear - so pretty! Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.

Sounds like a lovely peaceful day out Alison.
What a fun and beautiful day!

Love the pictures. I could sit and watch that! It would be nice to feel the sun. Thanks for stopping by! Dennis does seem to be doing better. He has a followup appointment soon. That's when we'll find out more.
What a beautiful Sunday you had! The water is so calming - I could sit for hours watching the boats too.
What incredible photos. I love the pier. It's stunning. I also love the men's use of the ironing board. Makes me think of all sorts of ways an ironing board could be used.
Oh my. How lovely that water looks!!! It's just beautiful there!
Blessings

Can't get enough of Mornington Peninsula. It's pretty from every angle.
You and Max are the description of diversity. One post he's swimming and running and biking and what not and the next the two of you are lolling around the Peninsula. Congrats on the impending marriage. I love catching up with you.

What a beautiful day! Those photos are breathtaking! I'm always amazed at how "blue" everyone elses' ocean photos are. I think the northern Atlantic is pretty much gray/blue. Must be your climate which keeps the water down there so vivid and pretty!
what a fab day!! Its so pretty over there I wanna move! haha Great pics! hugs
toodles-
Sarah
