HOW HARD

HOW HARD

Melanie and Amy gave me this photo at Christmas time.
How hard is it to get a decent photo with Father Christmas??
Melanie and Amy took the kids to get a photo with Father Christmas. Trying to get 3 little faces right in the one shot never happened. They said this was the best they could get.
Lachlan is standing there looking ok.
Riley is laying back like a little old man.
As for Chloe I don’t know what’s going on with that little mouth and mind of hers.
It looks like it’s the last place she wants to be sitting.

CHRISTMAS PRESENT

I forgot to post a photo of the beautiful Cake Plate/dome that I got for Christmas.
I just love the butterfly on the top and the garland of roses around the side. This first photo was taken on the 12th of Jan and the roses were put in water with sugar and a splash of bleach.
This second photo was taken today (15th ) to show the lovely base of the cake stand and the roses have now been there for 3 days.
So it looks like the sugar and bleach may be the way to go.

What a great santa photo.
there is a site dedicated to bad santa photos somewhere on the net- where all the kiddies are terrifed and screaming.
Your roses are lovely and lasting well.

I love the fact that they are wearing shorts and t-shirts to see Santa. How great is that? We wouldn't know what to do with ourselves here!

The cake plate is lovely. I would always want to have a delicious, freshly baked and frosted cake sitting on it. What fun!

Hi Alison,
That cake stand and dome are so pretty. I don't think I have ever seen that one before.

If it makes you feel any better, I had Santa photos done of my girls for 10 years and there is not one of them that is nice. Finally I decided to do them myself each year and as soon as we got the old bloke out of the photos the smiles were there....go figure!!!!!

SO NICE TO MEET YOU! I'm from up over . . . in California. You really have a cozy little place here!

That cake plate is so unique! I recently did my kitchen in pink and cranberry, so this would fit nicely.

I'll be back!

I know what you mean about trying to get kids to all look good at once in photos. I once helped art directed a photo with 12 kids. We must have shot over 300 frames-- and it was still nearly impossible to find ONE where everyone looked lovely!

Lovely photo of the kids Alison, I love the colour of Chloe's hair, I think I've mentioned that before. Your cake plate is so pretty, someone knew you well. Well done with the roses, I think the room temperature has a lot to do with things, it's been quite mild here lately hasn't it. Oh my goodness I've not done anything with the award you gave me...I've just realised!!!

Hi Alison, I just read your comment on Siobhan's blog, hope your son is OK, no matter what age they are they're always a worry aren't they!
Take care

Love the cake plate! So sorry I haven't posted about my wonderful award. I've been running around like a crazy chicken, but I will post about it. I feel terrible for not acknowledging it since it really means so very much to me. Hugs & kisses!

That cake plate is exquisite--the detail work looks so much like a real cake!

I know what you mean about taking photos of kids all together--it is near impossible to get them all looking at the camera--let alone smiling--lol!
