WATERSIDE WEDNESDAY

Another fun Waterside Wednesday
Remember to check on Barbara Jacksier's blog to see who is posting for this weeks Waterside Wednesday
Yesterday we did a 7.5km (4.6miles) return walk from Crib Point to Hastings - the walk is called the Bittern Coastal Wetlands Boardwalk.
You start off on a track that then takes you onto a boardwalk

The area comprises of a lot of mangroves and mudflats.

It is on the shoreline of Westernport Bay where you can see many different birds -Spoonbills, Ibis, pelicans, red necked stints and many more
It was a beautiful sunny Spring Day

The boardwalk and track

So many colours in and around the water

It was a great way to spend 1 hour 20 minutes of our day.

GETTING TO CREATE

MY SISTER SUSAN CELEBARATES HER 60TH BIRTHDAY
Saturday my eldest sibling – my sister Susan celebrated her 60th Birthday.I remember her walking me to school on my first day. She was in Grade 6 and I was in ‘Bubs’ that is now called Prep. She has been a very supportive and loving sister.
As part of her birthday gift I made this collage.

It was fun to create it for her.

I put a penny from the year she was born on it too.

She entered her birthday party in style – on the back of a Harley ridden by one of her sons.

FINAL COUNTDOWN

12 days to go until the wedding. Still making some decorations for inside the marquee but other than that I think we are all ready for the big day. Oh no I just remembered we have to copy the music for the bridesmaids and then for Amy to walk down the aisle. One last working bee at Amy and Ryan’s next Saturday and we will be ready for the big day. It is amazing how relaxed Amy is with it all.

TIME FOR A BREAK

JUST THE TWO OF US
I have been having a break from blogland for the last few weeks.
Family life has become so busy of late – adults and babies being unwell – job changes etc. etc. – it was all so busy.
Now it is time for Max and I to take a break from the rest of the world.
Just for a week – off on the ferry to Tasmania – time to just be together.
Just to relax and enjoy some ‘us time’.
Tomorrow night we will be sailing off on the Spirit of Tasmania

Here are some places we may see
Coles Beach overlooking Bass Strait - Devonport

Cradle Mountain reflected in Dove Lake

We are looking forward to a week of exploring this lovely state of Australia
Check out their tourism site here.

No doubt we will miss the family but it will be great to have a break.

I can't think of a more relaxing way to spend my birthday on Thursday then just

'Relaxing with Max'
