I have been having a break from blogland for the last few weeks.
Family life has become so busy of late – adults and babies being unwell – job changes etc. etc. – it was all so busy.
Now it is time for Max and I to take a break from the rest of the world.
Just for a week – off on the ferry to Tasmania – time to just be together.
Just to relax and enjoy some ‘us time’.
Tomorrow night we will be sailing off on the Spirit of Tasmania

Here are some places we may see
Coles Beach overlooking Bass Strait - Devonport

Cradle Mountain reflected in Dove Lake

We are looking forward to a week of exploring this lovely state of Australia
Check out their tourism site here.

No doubt we will miss the family but it will be great to have a break.

I can't think of a more relaxing way to spend my birthday on Thursday then just

'Relaxing with Max'

Hi Alison,
I too was wondering what had happened to you. I thought perhaps you might be sick still. Glad to hear all is okay. Tassie sounds great and I'm sure you and Max will love the trip and the time together.

Make sure you have the best birthday ever.

Oh Allison....I can't think of anything better just now than spending a week exploring Tasmania. John and I spent two weeks there about nineteen years ago and I have always wanted to go back. We were far too young AND shy to get in and appreciate all it has to offer, so one day.......
I'm sure you and your husband will have an absolutely wonderful time.
The end of winter is such a terrible time for viruses etc so I hope everyone is recovering nicely.
A very happy birthday to you....I still haven't forgotten your charm....I'm just slack!!!!!!
Happy days to you, Angela.

How great you and Max were able to get away. I know what you mean about getting bogged down with life and no time to blog. Hopefully after our daughter's wedding in 6 weeks I'll be able to get back on a regular schedule.
