23rd September Waterside Wednesday

SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
School holidays here for us usually mean a few babysitting days. Lachlan and Chloe came and had a few sleepovers with us. Of course we went to the beach - they took a bag each to pick up special stones, shells and sea glass.

Here they are walking along our poor beach that with so much sand lost during the rough weather that we have this yucky black sandy stuff there as well.
The loved posing for a photo on these rocks

Had fun writing their names in the sand

Hope everyone is enjoying Waterside Wednesday that Barbara Jacksier is hosting on her blog.
Go check out who has joined in this week

Don't forget to come back on Saturday to enter
the Giveway I am having to celebrate my birthday

Will they come and put some new sand down at all Alison?
It is a shame, it looks like such a lovely beach, you are so lucky, and your grandchildren are growing fast!

Perhaps it will replenish itself over a period of time. The sweet kiddoes certainly make it seem less bleak :-)

Hi Alison,
Thanks for the visit..
Love your new journal...will check out your website!...
Pity about the beach, esp the huts becoming swamped with water...I love those huts... they're such a great part of Melbourne's colour and charm...What lovely grandchildren you have....xxx...Julia

I have been visiting all sorts of inspiring home-decorating blogs this evening. And then, after growing a little overwhelmed, I came across your blog inspiring peace. Ahhhhh...if only I could dip my feet in the cold ocean and watch the sunset.

Oh I love the beach. You are fortunate to live so close to the sea! Sending love...rebecca

Your beach still looks great. Wish I was there playing in the sand with the kids. We've had bad storms on our East Coast with severe flooding. Not fun!

Like everybody here I wish I could have been there with you. I love to look for shells! Last time I was looking for seaglass, walked 15 kilometers down the beach, but didn't find one piece of seaglass, glass yes, sharp and shiny. :-(
