WASHED UP ON WATERSIDE WEDNESDAY

WASHED UP ON THE BEACH
For this weeks Waterside Wednesday my post shows what was washed up on the beach during our recent rough weather.
Go to Barbara Jacksier's blog and see some more posts on Waterside Wednesday
Check out the water rushing under the beach huts.

To get some photos Max and I were running along the beach dodging the waves

This one shows Max standing up on some steps waiting for the water to flow back

See the ramp here, that is where I jumped up to to sit and wait for the water to go back

Here are my feet dangling off the ramp where I was trying to get a photo of the big fish and got swamped

Lots of seaweed

Seaweed
Driftwood and seaweed

Lots of froth on the water and sand

Lots of froth seaweed and black sand
Jelly fish

Jelly fish

This starfish is starting to 'curl up its toes'

Just look at this rubbish - plastic bottles, candy wrappers, plastic bags.
People need to think before they throw something in the gutter or water as it usually ends up on the beach and endangers our sealife

Wow, it's a good thing that water didn't come up much higher. You really captured everything going on though!

I completely agree with you on all the garbage, we face the same problems on our beaches here in the United States. Some folks just have no brains, that's all there is to it!

Wonderful!!! Love these bits of your beach and yes the rubbish makes me sad too!
Have a lovely day!

Beautiful photos! They really capture faces of the sea. It saddens me to see trash washed up on the beaches. My last day at our local beach was actually quite clean. Hopefully people are becoming more aware...

Poor little huts... if the sea wants them, she'll have them. I'm struck by the color of the jellies. They look so innocent, don't they?

Hope these huts will still be standing for more years to come...as sand shifts and the water comes closer in certain areas. The garbage always stirs me up. I don't get it how people can be that disconnected from nature.

You are so right to warn people. Starfish were common when I was about 6 over here, but now, nada! I am 47 now and I don't think they will be back in another 40 years.
Great photos!

I am continually appalled at folks disregard for the health of our oceans and our planet. In the era before plastics, at least folks trash turned into beach glass for those who came later to collect!

AWESOME pictures babe!!!

Hi Alison
SO sad about the trash, isn't it sickening? Is erosion getting at the waters edge or were the houses meant to be so close? Quick question, do you folks have national health care? If so write me of what you feel about it, I'm doing some work for a school paper, love,Lori

I live on the beach and I am constantly watching rubbish come in with the tides. It is so terrible, people that do this make me very angry. On a lighter note, thanks so much for stopping by Beach Vintage and leaving a comment.

Great photos from the beach. Wild weather we have been having lately!

Garbage in the water is a sad thing. Nothing worse than thinking about that pile wrapping around a little turtle or dolphin and dragging them down.

Hi Alison
Thanks for popping in my way.
I just love your beach here. So wonderful like something from a movie. I may have to vacation down your way one day. Sorry to see the garbage. I live near the beach which is bordered by a large park so you can imagine what it looks like after the 'herds' are finished for the day. Thanks again Julie

I really hope they are able to do something for that stretch of beach.

I don't understand how in our modern day and age people can still litter like that. Makes me sad.

I've been reading about how the seas are so full of plastic that it has so endangered many species. How terribly sad. Don't civilized folks know where to put their trash? Guess not. Sad. Love your photos!
