BLOGGING PARTY

Why Do I Blog???

Joy at Cupids Charm is hosting a Blogging Party – asking why do I blog??
When I first started blogging I thought it would be a great place to help get that creative vibe going again.

Sometimes our friends and family don’t understand our art etc. but in Blogland we know we understand it.
It is a place where ‘we get’ each other.
Once you start blogging you see things in a different light. You look at things and think ‘what a great photo or event' to share with your blog friends

I love the honesty of most bloggers – who tell it like it really is and don’t try and sugarcoat their lives. Some people only want to share their art and that’s okay – some people want to share their lives as well and that’s okay. That is the joy of being a blogger – we can share whatever we want and still have fun meeting people from all around the world

Sometimes you don’t know how much of yourself to ‘share’ but I think that in general we are all pretty open with what is happening in our lives and creative spaces.
Blogland is a place where we can share our art, homes, gardens, vacations, family life, thrift bargains and most of all our friendship.

Blogland is a beautiful place to visit.
Such a caring and sharing group of people

nice post!

I'm with you, I just love how it connects me with people who are interested in what I am interested in...if I stood at the school gate and jumped up and down because i had found a vintage bench or ladder or something and painted it white, they would think I was a raving lunatic

...and if I said I found a peely old chippy paint pink chair and took it down the beach to photograph it I think my kids wouldn't get any playdates!

Beautiful post Alison. I've met so many wonderful women while blogging. It is so nice to have someone to share the art that my family just doesn't "understand".

Like you, I started blogging so I could meet like minded people who would 'get' me and my interests. But I never realised just how fabulous (and addictive!) it would be.
